Here are some photos that I took in my photoshoot:
This is a photo that I did not use. I did not use it because
it was blurry and the lighting is not very good.
I used this photo of the person as I thought he looked like
he was having fun, which is stereotypical of youth. However, I did not use the
background as there is a reflection which means you can see other people who
were not supposed to be in the photo.
This is another photo that I did not use. I did not use it
because there is light shining on the board behind the person in the photo.
This makes it hard to see what it is behind him.
I did not use this photo either. I did not want to use it as
I thought the person shouldn’t be looking at the camera if he was reading.

Analysing my Target Audience Survey Results
Here are my results obtained from my SurveyMonkey:
I asked this question to find out which genders would be reading my magazine. The results showed that the audience would be quite even for both genders. This showed that I would need to tailor my magazine to be suitable for both genders.
I asked this question to find out what ages would be reading my magazine. The results showed that they would be mainly between 14 and 19. This shows that I would need to tailor my magazine to be suitable and interesting for young people.
I asked this question to find out whether my target audience read the current College magazine. Most of them answered no, so I knew that my magazine would have to be much more interesting for people of that age if they were going to read my magazine.
I asked this question to find out whether my target audience found the current College magazine appealing to them. The majority of them said no, which showed that my magazine would have to be very different from the current magazine if I wanted to attract my target audience to reading my magazine.
I asked this question to find out what my target audience would like to read about in the College magazine. This showed my what I needed to include in my magazine to attract my target audience and make them interested in reading it.
I asked this question to find out which of the fonts I had picked out the target audience wanted me to use for the masthead of my magazine. This ended in a tie between two fonts, so I decided to use one of them.
I asked this question to find out which one of some existing magazine front covers my target audience most liked. This would give me an idea of what style my magazine should have to attract my target audience.

Target Audience Research
Neither of the two magazines that I looked at were very good magazines as they broke several of the common conventions of magazine front covers. To ensure that my magazine will have more success than these magazines, I am going to create a SurveyMonkey that I will post to Facebook to get results for what my target audience want in a College magazine.
One of the disadvantages of posting my survey to Facebook is that my survey will not reach my secondary target audience, as no teachers or parents will see it on my Facebook page. This will mean that I will only find out what my primary audience wants but not my secondary target audience, potentially meaning that I will lose my secondary target audience as I won't know what to include in the magazine that they will be interested in and want to read.
