Contents Page Analysis of NME magazine
Layout
The layout makes the contents page very easy to read and understand. It has a list of the featured bands on the left hand side of the page and the contents in a list on the right hand side of the page.
Images
There is one main image in the centre of the page. This image is of the musicians in the main story playing in a church.
Colours
There are 3 main colours on this contents page, and they are red, black and white. There is also a small amount of yellow. Red and black connote danger and depression, which links to Hall's theory of youth that common mood in teenagers is depressed, and that youth seek excitement, often by preforming dangerous actions.
Text
There is quite a lot of text spread around this page but no large chunks anywhere. This connotes the target audience as being quite young as younger people usually do not want to do a lot of reading.
